Resilient Greenfield

We had hoped to launch on May 1st, but we only have 120 members on GivePulse now, and need 250 (we estimate) so that member groups posting events can be confident volunteers will find them. On the part of member groups, we need many more dated events than we have now. We also have very few sponsors — employers with workplace volunteering programs — and this is the main source of new volunteers in our pool.

So May 1st is out. We will shoot for June 1st. To get us there, we need our current 120 members to find one friend, family member or colleague at work, sign them up and give them the tech support to get them active. Doing so will qualify you for the Bring New Members to Resilient Greenfield ongoing impact, and is an opportunity (as Complete Your Profile was) to get some practice with this platform, understanding the three steps of Register, Do Service, and Claim Impact.

As anyone who uses Social Media knows, if we do not get to critical mass together, this platform will dry up and blow away in the wind. Please recruit and assist new members, and help midwife Resilient Greenfield! Here are resources to help:

1. Join Us On Mobile: a previous training you can use with your new recruits. There is also a Create Profile, Get Impact Credit and Message Members video, not one of our best.
2. Intro and Complete Your Profile: understand what we are up to and have a completed profile before you start bringing in new members. That way you have practice AND can model a good profile. You can view slides 1-13 rather than watch the video if you like – this is not complicated. Or watch this below:

3. Bring In New Members: This is the focus of this training below.
   1. Find the event Bring New Members to Resilient Greenfield
   2. Register for the event (easy): with emails sent to you and to event owner
   3. Add your impact for the event:
      • Say who you helped and how long it took.
      • Share any comments about the process.
      • Emails to you and the event owner
   4. Share the event: this is how we get other people volunteering!
